“Duke” belongs to Corrie Smit in Pretoria – as a much loved family dog he shot to Dobermann fame in 2013 when he walked out of his garden onto the winner’s podium at the Northern Transvaal Dobermann Show – an incredible achievement for his first show.  Thank you to judge Rudi Killmaier (Germany) for recognizing his quality.  He was quickly made up to SA breed champion, and lives with his family and two Jack Russell companions in Pretoria.  Duke is available for stud purposes; contact us for his owner’s details.

Proudly owned, handled and trained by Mandy Clifton-Smith, “Keizer” became a SA breed and International champion, consistently winning since he was a puppy at both all breeds and specialist shows.  His accolades included the NCKC Sonny Peo Memorial shield Best Dobermann 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, NCKC Working Shield 2012, 2013 and 2014, NCKC Victor Ludorum 2014, KZN Top Working Dog 2012 and the Ideal Dobermann Trophy in 2015 (combination of points achieved at Breed Specialist Shows and also holding a ZTP qualification).  Keizer was a wonderful character and a beloved child of Mandy and Jay.  He sadly died prematurely at 5 years old with suspected DCM.

DIESEL
MBISS CH HAVERHILL BELSHAZAAR 01.09.2004 – October 2014
FARAMIR CASA DI OZ OF HYSAND (Imp Pol) ex CH HYSAND ALL THINGS NICE of HAVERHILL

HD 0.0, vWD Carrier, PHTVL / PHPV clear

I bred Belshazaar (aka Diesel) from Whoopee’s second litter – I picked him out at birth and just knew that he was going to be special.  He was a family dog, belonging to Brett Sklarchik who simply adored him. Besides keeping him in peak condition, Brett always made him available for show purposes.  Diesel scooped up 3 Best in Specialty shows, under Lynn Glass (France), Keijo Alan (Finland) and Donne Lucas (South Africa).  He died of old age, and is sadly missed by his human family and Dobe girlfriend, Gucci.

APT and Dog Agility qualifier, SA Runner up Supreme Dobermann 2003
Epol Dog of the Year Finalist 2002, KZN Colours 2001 & 2003

“Toby” was my first Dobermann and just the most wonderful introduction to the breed.  Such a gentleman – he enthusiastically took part in everything that I asked him to do – dog jumping, agility, obedience and bite work.

Initially “spotted” by the late Tony Williams (SA and International BIS judge), Toby became a respected competitor in the breed show ring winning 26 Best of Breeds, twice in the top 50 All breeds SA, and many other accolades – he was well known for his beautiful movement.

Thank you to all the judges who recognized his quality, and in particular Best in Show Judges Jan Cornelius (South Africa), Lynne Brand (South Africa), Jackie Ratner (South Africa), Rob Grieveson (South Africa) and Dave Hull (South Africa).
